The new Route 13/58/460 flyover to the SPSA Regional Landfill in Suffolk, Virginia is open, and High Structural Erectors is proud to have served as the steel erection contractor for Crowder Construction.

The bridge replaces a difficult at grade median crossing, a real safety improvement for landfill operators, sanitation crews, commercial haulers and the traveling public.

The site, at the edge of the Great Dismal Swamp, is one of the most challenging environments on the East Coast. Our crews erected massive curved girders, including night lifts over active traffic, which took careful planning and coordination at every step.
