Heat Straightening Services
Extend the Life of Your Bridge. Restore Performance. Minimize Disruptions.
High Structural Erectors provides heat straightening services for damaged structural steel members where repair may be a practical alternative to full replacement. This service is commonly used for impact-damaged bridge girders, beams, columns, and other steel components that have been bent, swept, twisted, or otherwise displaced due to vehicle strikes, over-height loads, construction impacts, equipment collisions, or similar events.
HSE supports heat straightening work with experienced field crews, controlled repair procedures, access planning, rigging support, and close coordination with the project engineer, owner, contractor, and inspection team. When approved by the engineer of record or governing authority, heat straightening can help restore damaged steel members while reducing replacement lead times, minimizing demolition, limiting traffic or facility disruption, and supporting faster return-to-service objectives.
Our role is focused on safe, controlled field execution. HSE can assist with damage review, repair planning, temporary access considerations, MOT-sensitive work, field sequencing, and execution of the approved heat straightening procedure. This capability is especially valuable for bridge steel repairs, emergency response situations, commercial and industrial steel damage, and projects where schedule, access, or replacement material availability are critical concerns..
